Schwinn Dx900: An Upright Exercise Bike To Meet Your Needs

Exercise is something that everyone needs to take part in. Some of us are faithful and exercise on a regular basis. However, others need to devote more time to working out. One of the most convenient forms of exercise is an exercise bike. If you are looking for an exercise cycle that you can use from the comfort of your own home, you will learn that there are different brands on the market from which you can choose such as Kettler, Reebok and Schwinn, among many others.

However, the Schwinn Dx900 may be just what you are looking for. It has many features that you will not find in models from other suppliers, and has a superior rating from many consumers. This model is an upright bike, just like a real bike that you would ride on the road. It is not a recumbent model like the Schwinn 230 or 231.

This particular bike will provide a wide range of individuals, at all sorts of fitness levels, an appropriate workout. Whether you are training for a marathon, or you just want some daily exercise at a low impact level, this is a great piece of equipment to invest in. The bike has a 31 lb. flywheel on which you can easily change magnetic resistance levels on by simply using the tension control knob. So, no matter the difficulty level you desire, you can set the bike to accommodate you, as the levels of tension are literally infinite.

Attention has been given to the rider's comfort due to the thick, padded adjustable seat and the padded handlebars which are also adjustable. The foot pedals are wide and include a top strap which will help keep the rider's foot in place. People between five feet and six feet, three inches can adjust this bike to their comfort level. Another added plus is that you can remove the seat cover in order to wash it.

To help keep track of speed, distance, rpms and calories expended on the bike, there is a data center. You can choose to use it or not. It also includes a timer which can help you keep track of the time spent on your workout.

The Schwinn Dx900 has a warranty attached to the frame that speaks to its potential long life at thirty years. The electronic components and other parts have a three year warranty.

Bike Riding For Exercise - How Effective is It?

By Dean Forster
Bike riding for exercise is one effective way of staying fit and toned and building physical endurance. In biking, almost all parts of the body are exercised, from the legs to the thighs to the abdomen and even the arms. Cycling, though, is more recommended to people who wish to strengthen the lower part of their body since the upper half does not get as much activity as the lower part when it comes to riding a bike.
